Ok so MONDAY pday, movie, soccer, normal.
TUESDAY, we had district meeting that went well. It was cool because one of the sisters thanked me for the class and said that that was just what i needed. Sweet.
WEDNESDAY, we taught an investigator named Angi. She is sooo awesome. Then we taught the Rios family and their daughter helped teach the lesson on repentance. It was sweet. We also contacted a lot today. I love contacting now. It’s the greatest.
THURSDAY, today we taught a less active named Manuel. We talked about a lot of interesting things like polygamy. Ha-ha. But it was cool because we were able to apply that to faith, not having a perfect knowledge as well as repentance. It was awesome and at the end of the lesson he thanked us and said that he had learned a lot! Cool!!!!
FRIDAY, today i want to share what i studied. In Alma 43 verses 45 and 48 through 51.

Here the Lamanites are going to battle with the Nephites. Moroni is the Nephite captain. So here is some hmwk fam! haha. Read vs 45

45 Nevertheless, the Nephites were inspired by a better cause, for they were not fighting for monarchy nor power but they were fighting for their homes and their liberties, their wives and their children, and their all, yea, for their rites of worship and their church.

Then ask.  “What is the greater cause in our lives? What are we fighting for?” We fight against evil, against the adversary, and we have much a greater cause... eternal life. Especially as a family... A cause worth fighting for.  Then read 48 through 51.

48 And it came to pass that when the men of Moroni saw the fierceness and the anger of the Lamanites, they were about to shrink and flee from them. And Moroni, perceiving their intent, sent forth and inspired their hearts with these thoughts—yea, the thoughts of their lands, their liberty, yea, their freedom from bondage.
49 And it came to pass that they turned upon the Lamanites, and they cried with one voice unto the Lord their God, for their liberty and their freedom from bondage.
50 And they began to stand against the Lamanites with power; and in that selfsame hour that they cried unto the Lord for their freedom, the Lamanites began to flee before them; and they fled even to the waters of Sidon.
51 Now, the Lamanites were more numerous, yea, by more than double the number of the Nephites; nevertheless, they were driven insomuch that they were gathered together in one body in the valley, upon the bank by the river Sidon

The enemy was more than twice the size. But who won? And why? It is just like us at school or at work. Maybe more than half the people choose wrongly, or more than half are against us in making a good decision, but who will win in the end? If we pray for strength, even though we might be scared, and are about to shrink and flee and fall into temptation, if we cry unto the Lord for this greater cause, WE WILL PREVAIL! Because God will be with us. So remember CTR! Even if we are outnumbered!
SATURDAY, today the missionaries from the ccm came to proselyte with us in our area. It was awesome. I went with elder Varner from Las Vegas. He couldnt speak Spanish but as he tried to bear his testimony to an investigator I felt the spirit strongly. I told him that it doesnt matter if he makes a mistake speaking, because if he has the spirit with him, the message that that person needs will get across to them. Cool guy.
SUNDAY, today Angi came to church! She said that she loved it and that she wants to come back every Sunday!!!!! and in YW they talked about serving missions and she told me that after she learns more about the gospel, that she might want to go!!!!! What?!?!?!?! Cool!!!!!! So today we also did numbers and we accomplished the goals of excelence again!!! and this time we had 81 contacts! I love contacting now! Ha-ha. I am so happy!!!!
Thanks you all for everything! I love you all! Take care and have a great week!

MONDAY, so today we went to Gamarra, a big street full of stores, mostly clothing. I was bored. I didn't buy anything. ha-ha.
TUESDAY, we had district mtg and i taught about how to ``always keep your fishing line in the water`` or in other words, to always be searching to find new people. It went awesomely. Then we taught a less active and i think that we finally got through to him! wahoo!.
WEDNESDAY, today we had all of our appointments fall through, so we contacted, which as you all know, i dont like. My weakness, but i am getting a lot better. We contacted 23 people and we found a new family of four to teach and a group of friends as well… 9 of them!!! Awesome! Blessings!!!! We have been trying to be super obedient and we have seen the blessings for sure.
THURSDAY, today we were able to do divisions and we were also able to teach 11 lessons!!!! Insane! So many blessings!
FRIDAY, today we also contacted a lot. I am overcoming my fear of doing it! Then later we taught 4 new investigators! The group of friends, only 4 showed up. It would be awesome if we could baptize all of them!
SATURDAY, we did 23 contacts! And then we taught 2 new investigators one named Hector who is from that family of 4. He’s the dad and then we taught a girl named Angi, who is very intelligent and strict with her life. Ha-ha. Super cool though. Both of them have a lot of potential. Today we also found a lot of people to teach. One guy opened up his door and said that he didnt have time right then but that he was very interested in our message and asked us to go back next Saturday and we didn’t say hardly anything. Ha-ha. Sooo cooool. Then we contacted a guy who then bought us a inca kola and some chips. Ha-ha. The people here are so nice.
SUNDAY, church was great like normal! We ate Pachamanca today for lunch. Delicious. Then we taught another new investigator! Named Ruby. Her husband is inactive and she is really interested. Maybe we can baptize her and rescue her husband! Win win! Sweet. i am soooo happy right now. President put up indicators of excellence which are 25 lessons, 10 new investigators, and 70 contacts in one week. And this week we had 28 lessons, 11 new investigators and 76 contacts!!!!! We did it!!!!!!!! We are working hard and i love it! Soooo many blessings have come our way and i am so grateful! And this week the missionaries from the ccm or mtc, are coming to our area to work!!! So exciting!  And now I also dont have a fear to contact I have overcome it!. I love it now!
Thank all of you for everything that you have done for me! I love all of you and hope that you all have a great next week! Love ya!!!!!!!!!!

MONDAY - Pday, soccer. Normal.
TUESDAY, we were able to find a new less active to teach that has been coming to the church activities. It is hard sometimes because the people understand the doctrine but they don’t put it in practice. It is hard to find a way to touch their heart so that they can realize the blessings that they are missing. They say they have a testimony and that they love god but they don’t go to church......
WEDNESDAY, today we taught Diego, and he brought his girlfriend! It was cool because during the lesson I could see that each of them had felt the spirit. I could tell just by looking at them! Cool!
THURSDAY, we went to the TEMPLE!!!! Awesome. I had a really cool experience. I was in the celestial room, and I ended up being the last person there. So I decided to kneel down and just offer a prayer. I had such a peaceful feeling. It was truly amazing and edifying! The spirit is amazing. I love the temple. It is truly the house of God.
FRIDAY, today we had zone mtg. it went well. We learned how to extend commitments. There are always things that we can improve on! Then we had a surprise division with one of the 3 zone leaders. They are in a trio. So he came to our area but we delayed a lot do to some errands that we had to do. Then that night we went to an activity in the ward and I got to play a little bit of tennis haha. It was part of the activity and it was awesome!
SATURDAY, we finished up divisions which also ended up delaying a ton due to traffic that was caused because someone got hit crossing the street...  it can be very dangerous here.  Nothing else honestly happened today.
SUNDAY, I gave a talk about missionary work. I focused on our testimonies. How everyone has unique experiences and as we share them the spirit can also testify very strongly that what we are saying is true and how through small things like a testimony can bring about miracles. I enjoy giving talks. Then we had preach my gospel class, and it was cool because the bishop shared his conversion story with me and it helped me a lot. So awesome.
That’s all folks! Thank you for all your support and for everything. Read Pray every day!!! Love you all! Have a great next week!

Elder Maxwell * DISTRICT LEADER!! Email 2/2/2015

MONDAY, p day! So today we played a little tennis at the church! Fun! and then we got the transfers and nothing changed. So ya, everything is normal. Well not completely because I am District Leader now!! wahoo! cool. I am excited to learn from this. It should be interesting.
TUESDAY, Today started out well because a brother came to do visits with us which was awesome, but after that all of our appointments fell through..... but we kept looking and looking and finally found a less active and his son in law who isnt a member! Blessings!
WEDNESDAY, today we visited an investigator named Diego, he has a baptism date for the 28 of February. His family are less actives so we are going to try to baptize him and reactivate his family at the same time! He is really cool and he has a lot of questions about the plan of salvation, actually as we were talking a bit I took out the lesson one pamphlet to give to him but then I felt like I wasn’t supposed to leave that lesson with him, I felt like it needed to be lesson 2, on the plan of salvation. So I gave it to him and then I asked if he had any last minute questions and he had a ton and they were all about the plan of salvation!!! Wow! I had received revelation in order to help him with what he needed! Cool!
THURSDAY, my first district meeting! So I talked about the spirit and how it is essential in teaching as missionaries and also in everyone’s conversion. It went really well! I was satisfied. Then I was also able to do my first baptism interview!!! Which also went really good!
FRIDAY, I had to go to a training thing for new district leaders. It was awesome and I learned a ton from it. The only bad part is that it ran really late and we weren’t able to teach very much.
SATURDAY, today we finally got a member to come with us on visits, but no one was home. What luck. I was a little frustrated today, but what can you do. Just keep swimming!
SUNDAY, fast sundae! The testimonies were great and the spirit was really strong today. It was very pleasant, but then my vision got a little blurry and I just about fainted during my fast. Then I had to rest for like 2 hours due to the splitting migraine it gave Me, but after that we taught a preach my gospel class that was super fun. We did practices and stuff. It was fun.
So ya, that is my week in a nutshell. Thanks for being such great people and for your support! I love you all! And happy birthday mom!! This week! Love ya!!!!!
